Meet the Family and Team

With a background in construction, and now the Broker/ Owner of RE/MAX Signature Properties, I have been working in the real estate industry for over 30 years.  I am a second-generation REALTOR® and grew up understanding the ways of the real estate world. I have carried that legacy into my career today, using my passion for connecting with others to help thousands of people buy and sell their homes. Since receiving my real estate license in 2005, I have consistently been a top producer in my area.  I specialize in St. Clair County, where my military family settled when I was in Jr HS.  I am a community-oriented person who is driven by the need to help others and create lifelong relationships.

Steve Bennett, Designated Managing Broker and owner of RE/MAX Signature Properties, brings an array of experience to the Kappert Group. He is a 3rd generation REALTOR® and grew up learning the tricks of the trade from his Mom, Connie. Steve began his sales career in new construction in 2008 and received his real estate license shortly after in 2009.  His tenacious personality is shown through his ability to make every person he meets a friend. With his 15 years of experience and knowledge, Steve has been through many ups and downs of the industry with his clients and brings that experience to the table every time. He is a reliable source of information, and his dedication to his clients is unmatched.  In addition to managing the office, Steve co-owns a construction company, Motto Mortgage and a food truck, Petty Butts BBQ. He is always on the go, but NEVER too busy to help someone – whether be a client or someone in the community.

Marie Billingsley has been with the Kappert Group since its inception.  As Director of Client Services, she is responsible for keeping the company in check- from license details, listing details, and more. Her detailed personality helps keep the team running smoothly and efficiently. She is extremely hard-working, kind, and goes above and beyond in everything she does for the team. Although her work is done in the background, our team depends on her detail-oriented work ethic. She is one of a kind, and team could no do without her!
